Khaptad National Park is located in the far western region of Nepal and spread between Doti, Bajhang, Bajura, and Dipawal of Seti zone. The area of the park is 225 square km and was established in 1984. Khaptad National Park also offers religious sightseeing. We can visit Triveni Dham, Khaptad Baba Ashram, Khapar Daha, Sahastra Linga and Daune. Major Highlights of this area are Khaptad Daha, Nag Dhunga and Upper Tribeni.
Apart from its natural diversities, the Khaptad National Park is a very famous religious place as it is the place of Hindu guru "Khaptad Baba" (Late Swami Sachchidananda) who moved to this area in 1940 to meditate. Khaptad Baba has meditated here for many years and discovered many medicinal herbal plants. He is also known for being a doctor and researcher. This is the best place to visit in western Nepal.
The best time to visit the Park is in autumn (October - November) and in spring (March-May).
